WorldKey ("the Extension") is a browser extension for Google Chrome and Opera that provides proxy management, WebRTC leak protection, browser profile settings, and session management tools.
This Privacy Policy describes how the Extension handles information and explains what permissions it requires and why.
WorldKey helps users manage a consistent browser profile for proxy-based browsing by configuring a personal proxy, checking the visible IP address, enabling WebRTC leak protection, adjusting local browser profile settings, and manually clearing cookies and local site data for a selected website/domain.
WorldKey stores settings locally in the user's browser. The extension does not collect, sell, transmit, or share user data with developer-controlled servers. Proxy credentials are stored locally and used only for proxy authentication. Browser profile settings are stored and applied locally. Cookies and local site data are accessed only when the user manually triggers Session Manager cleanup for the selected website/domain.
Specifically, WorldKey does not collect, store on remote servers, or transmit to any third party:
— Browsing history or visited URLs
— Cookies or session data from any website
— Proxy credentials (username, password)
— IP addresses or geolocation data
— Device identifiers or browser profile data
— Personal information of any kind
— Analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
The Extension has no backend server, no analytics integration, and no remote data collection of any kind.
WorldKey stores your settings locally using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device.
Information stored locally includes:
— Proxy host, port, type, and scheme
— Proxy username and password, if provided by the user
— Proxy enabled/disabled state
— WebRTC protection policy preference
— Browser profile settings (User-Agent, language, timezone, screen resolution, Canvas/WebGL/Audio-related values), if configured by the user
— Last checked external IP address and timestamp, if the user manually performs an IP check
WorldKey routes the user's browser traffic only through the proxy server that the user themselves configures. Proxy credentials, when provided, are sent only to that user-configured proxy server for authentication — not to the WorldKey developer.
The Extension does not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, or third-party data processors.
WorldKey includes a manual Session Manager that can clear cookies and local site data for the website selected by the user. This may include cookies, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, cache storage, and service worker data.
This action is performed only after explicit user confirmation and only for the selected website/domain (typically the active tab's domain). The cleanup applies only to that specific domain — other websites and saved passwords are never affected.
WorldKey does not transmit the contents of cookies or site storage to developer-controlled servers.
WorldKey may apply local browser profile settings such as User-Agent, language, timezone, screen values, and Canvas/WebGL/Audio-related values, depending on the user's configuration. These settings are applied locally in the browser and are not transmitted to developer-controlled servers.
These settings are user-configurable preferences. WorldKey does not promise anonymity, untraceability, or guaranteed protection against any form of detection or identification.
WorldKey requests the following browser permissions. Each permission is used exclusively for the stated purpose:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| proxy | Configure and control browser proxy settings based on values entered by the user (enable/disable proxy, set host/port/type/scheme). |
| privacy | Apply WebRTC IP handling policy to reduce local IP address leaks while a proxy is in use. |
| webRequest webRequestAuthProvider |
Supply the user-provided proxy credentials to the user-configured proxy server when it requests authentication. Credentials are never sent to the WorldKey developer. |
| storage | Save proxy configuration and browser profile settings locally on the device via chrome.storage.local. |
| tabs | Read the active tab's URL to identify the selected website/domain so the Session Manager can show it and apply cleanup only to that domain. |
| cookies | Remove cookies for the selected website/domain when the user manually triggers Session Manager cleanup. Used only on explicit user request. |
| browsingData | Clear local site data (cache, localStorage, IndexedDB, service workers) for the selected website/domain when the user manually triggers Session Manager cleanup. |
| history | Remove local browser history entries matching the selected website/domain when the user manually triggers Session Manager cleanup. |
| declarativeNetRequest declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess |
Apply the user's chosen User-Agent as a local request header modification when Browser Profile Settings are enabled. |
| <all_urls> | Required for the proxy authentication handler and optional User-Agent header rule to apply across websites the user visits. WorldKey does not read or transmit page content from these sites. |
WorldKey is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. As no data is collected by this Extension from any user, this applies equally to all age groups.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Extension's functionality changes. Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
